Prometheus

Prometheus, hosted by the Product Management and Technology Club of SIBM Pune, is a prestigious national-level case competition. Held as part of the Transcend festival, the event is designed to test and showcase participants' strategic and analytical prowess in product management.

Now in its second edition, Prometheus 2.0 has become a cornerstone for fostering a product management culture and community at SIBM Pune. The competition equips participants with the skills needed to thrive in the dynamic world of product management by encouraging innovation, strategic thinking, and real-world application.

The competition consists of three progressive stages: an initial qualifier, a case study submission, and an on-campus final. Each round emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and understanding of current product management and technology trends. Teams advancing through the rounds are judged by industry experts on the originality of their solutions, their alignment with the problem statement, the feasibility of their strategies, and their potential business impact. The grand finale, held at SIBM Pune's hilltop campus, was evaluated by Prof. Vimal Bhat, an esteemed faculty member at SIBM Pune, and Mohit Gupta, a seasoned product manager at Bajaj Finserv. Their insights and expertise ensured a rigorous assessment of the finalists' strategies and presentations.

This year, Prometheus 2.0 attracted an impressive 840 registrations from top B-schools, including IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, MICA, and MDI Gurgaon. Participants tackled real-world challenges, analyzed popular apps, and proposed innovative solutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of product strategy and execution.

With a prize pool of INR 35,000, Prometheus 2.0 provided participants with invaluable industry exposure, fostering innovation and collaboration. By bringing together top talent from across the country, Prometheus continues to inspire and empower the next generation of product leaders, strengthening SIBM Pune's position as a hub for product management excellence.
