Encore West - SIBM Pune's Alumni meet at Mumbai was conducted on Saturday, 21st September 2019 at the Sofitel BKC, Mumbai. The event saw a turnout of over 150 alumni from various batches of the college. This year's Encore West was based on the theme "City of Stars", owing to the image of the hosting city- Mumbai as the city of stars.
The event started with a video address by Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, address by our director- Dr. R. Raman, and the Alumni team coordinator- Shailesh Tiwari.
This year, the alumni played a fun and interactive game called Bollywood bingo, which was a game of both luck and knowledge, as a tribute to the City of Stars.
Table-Tennis and Badminton were organized on Day 1 of Dwandva, where MBA 2 clean swept MBA 1 in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Badminton saw mixed reactions, as in the men’s division, MBA 2 emerged victorious whereas in the woman’s division MBA 1 was victorious.
The game was followed by cake cutting celebrating the guests of the day, post which the alumni proceeded for their dinner. The event served as a platform for networking with alumni across batches while catching up with fellow batch-mates.
Overall, Encore West 2019 was filled with fun and frolic and brought alumni of various batches together to relive and create memories that last a lifetime.
