The Corporate Interface Team of SIBM Pune successfully organised the first-ever online edition of its flagship leadership conclave, Arcturus 2020, on 24^th and 25^th October. This year, the theme of the event was  Envisaging the New Business as Usual: Building Resilient Frameworks, which sought to address how business are working to counter the challenges faced by the coronavirus pandemic and the emerging geo-political challenges.

The event commenced on 24^th October, with a Fire Side Chat with Mr. Nitin Seth, Chief Executive Officer, Incedo Inc. and was hosted by Prof. Sandeep Bhattacharya, Head of Corporate Relations at SIBM Pune. The opening keynote was given by Mr. Ajay Mahajan, MD & CEO, Care Ratings, wherein he enlightened the students on the topic  Transitioning into a Post-Covid and De-Globalised World: Risks to India’s Economy and Ways to Mitigate Them.

The keynote was followed by a unique CEO Panel Discussion on the topic  The Strategic Plan B: A CEO’s Perspective on Assessing Risks and Ensuring Business Continuity. The CEO panelists included Mr. Sundar Balasubramanian, Managing Director – India & SAARC, Check Point Software Technologies Limited, Mr. Shahid Nizami, Managing Director, Asia Pacific region at HubSpot and Mr. Amit Dutta, Chief Executive Officer, Le Marche Retail. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Amol Dethe, Editor, ETBFSI & ETCFO, Times Internet Ltd.

Day 2 of Arcturus 2020 included six guest sessions on wide-ranging topics with two broad tracks - Business Continuity and Risk Management. Guest speakers for the business continuity track included Mr. TK Balakumar, Chief Operating Officer at Big Basket, Mr. John Bukowsky, Senior Director of Global Alliances at Citrix and Mr. Vaibhav Tewari, Chief Operating Officer at Portea Medical. For the risk management track, speakers included Mr. Akshay Garkel, Partner at Grant Thornton India LLP, Mr. Gaurav Seth, Head of Business & Growth, Vice President at Paytm Money and Mr. Lokesh Payik, Chief of Digital Enterprise at Bosch.
