Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to find interrelationships among the factors that impact the process and result of ERP implementation based on the experience of implementation in one of the medium scale company. The purpose of this paper is to identify key variables of ERP implementation through systematic literature review and semi-structured interviews administered on the core team members of BBM Acoustic Private Limited, who were made part of the implementation process. We have resolved debates related to relationship among various constructs of ERP implementation and their relationship using Interpretive Structural modeling and Total interpretive structural modeling. Findings: The study indicates that Organizational Culture &Communication and Top Management Commitment and Support have high driving power and deserve serious attention in ERP implementation process. The paper also helps in ascertaining the category of factors that are independent, autonomous, linked or dependent. This study fills in the gap in literature by proposing a model of critical success factors in ERP implementation in a small and medium sized organization. The reliability of the model should be tested later by conducting a study on large scale.
