Social Impact Cell (SIC)
Formerly known as the Social & Governance Cell (SGC), the Social Impact Cell (SIC) at SIBM Pune marks a significant evolution in our journey towards creating meaningful change. With a renewed vision and an expanded mandate, SIC is now positioned at the forefront of institutional excellence, corporate CSR engagement, and global recognition.
At its core, SIC is more than just a student interest group – it is a catalyst for sustainable impact and responsible leadership. As a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under SIU, the cell now aligns its activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and national regulatory frameworks, thereby directly contributing to SIU’s performance in national and international rankings.
What We Focus On:
- Institutional Excellence: By designing and executing impactful, sustainability-driven initiatives, SIC plays a pivotal role in enhancing the university’s standing across key impact metrics.
- Strategic Corporate CSR Engagement: Moving beyond event-based collaborations, SIC now seeks to partner with corporates to drive long-term, CSR-funded projects that address real-world social challenges.
- Student-Led Impact: SIC provides students with a platform to ideate, lead, and implement socially responsible initiatives that make a tangible difference in local communities.
- Visibility & Global Recognition: With a focus on thought leadership and stakeholder engagement, SIC aims to position SIBM Pune as a leader in the social impact space among B-schools.
From organizing health camps and educational drives to hosting CSR conclaves and campus-based sustainability projects, SIC is set to redefine how business schools contribute to society.
