Overview

The two-year part-time PGDBM is SIBM Pune's corporate programme, spread across four semesters and offers a general management Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. The structure of the programme is designed to give students the best in industry exposure and a nurturing classroom environment, to help them become the leaders of tomorrow. This program creates a sole, dedicated batch for a specific client organisation.

Specialization Offered

This program is a General Management program and does not offer any specialisations. However, the client has the capability to customise the programs by choosing their desired subjects, relevant to their industry, from an SIU approved course catalogue.

ORIENTATION AND PEDAGOGY

Pedagogy at SIBM Pune is a mix of many methodologies. Apart from the usual chalk-n-talk, there is a conscious effort to make the sessions interactive by using case studies and references of latest developments in the relevant field. In addition, students are encouraged to undertake multiple projects to hone their research and analytical skills. Latest tools and techniques are used wherever possible. Pedagogic techniques include interactive lectures, case studies, industry examples, video clips. Groupwork, polls etc.

Eligibility Criteria

A student seeking admission for the Programme must be

  1. Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or) at graduation level.
  2. He/she should have a minimum of 2 years work experience in industry.


Intake

The minimum batch size from a client organization is 40.

The selection process consists of an entrance exam followed by a personal interview. A client can also choose to nominate a batch of eligible employees.
