Marketshastra 2025, the flagship marketing case competition organized by Mark-O-Polo, the marketing society of SIBM Pune, was a unique and mentally stimulating event that blended historical insights with modern technological advancements.

As part of Transcend 2025: Echoes of Ethereal Enigma, the competition challenged participants to reimagine historical events through the lens of contemporary marketing strategies.

The event was structured into multiple rounds, beginning with a preliminary stage where participants submitted a two-minute video pitch outlining a historical event, identifying a challenge of that era, and proposing an innovative solution using modern technology. This round focused on clarity, creativity, and the ability to connect past and present effectively. Teams that advanced to the final round, held at SIBM Pune on January 7, 2025, participated in the "PastForward Pitch." Here, they presented a detailed marketing strategy through a seven-minute live presentation, followed by a three-minute Q&A session. The structured presentation included a quick recap of the historical event and problem, the introduction of their product or service, unique selling points, market relevance, and strategic execution. A strong emphasis was placed on feasibility, financial viability, and competitive analysis.

Marketing frameworks such as the Ansoff Matrix, 4Ps, and SWOT analysis were leveraged to justify strategies. Judges assessed participants on innovation, strategic depth, and their ability to present a compelling narrative. The Q&A session tested their preparedness and ability to defend their ideas.

The esteemed judging panel, comprising Dr. Harshwardhan Dafre, Dr. Aradhana Gandhi, and Dr. Tanuj Mathur, brought deep industry expertise to the table. Their insights and critical questions pushed participants to refine their pitches further.

Team Markalysts from SCMHRD Pune emerged as winners, demonstrating exceptional creativity and strategy. Team Ideators Inc. from SIBM Pune secured the runners-up position with their well-structured approach.

Marketshastra 2025 was not just about business acumen but also storytelling, critical thinking, and adaptability-key skills in the real world and modern corporations.
