Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune, hosted Dr Adekunle Oke, Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, UK, for a guest lecture organised by Opcellence – The Operations Club of SIBM Pune, on the theme "Impact on Supply Chain Resilience in a Tariff-Driven World: Past Lessons, Present Challenges and Future Pathways." Dr Oke explored the complexities of global supply chains through the lens of the U.S.-China trade war and the semiconductor crisis, highlighting how tariff-driven strategies disrupted trade flows, reshaped sourcing decisions, and exposed vulnerabilities in global value chains. The session offered students valuable insights into navigating the uncertainties of global supply chains while strengthening their understanding of real-world business dynamics.
