The third edition of SIBM Pune’s Own Shark Tank, The Grand Pitch Season 3, held on 15th October 2024, proved to be a monumental success, reaffirming its reputation as the flagship event of the Innovation Council at SIBM Pune. Expanding its horizons, The Grand Pitch Season 3 went all-India for the first time. This broader reach brought in a diverse range of startups from across the country, enriching the event with varied perspectives and innovative solutions.
This year’s edition broke all records, raising a total of ₹22.5 Crores in investments! Startups from sectors like Agritech, Health Tech, Drone Manufacturing, and Fintech captivated investors with their innovative solutions, and many walked away with life-changing opportunities to scale their businesses.
WholeLeaf, an Ayurvedic wellness startup received an investment of ₹2 crores from Mr. Chandrashekar Kupperi, Founder of ANOVA and General Partner at Peaceful Progress Fund. Subhag Healthtech, a health tech venture, raised ₹16 crores from Mr. Devang Raja, Founder of Venture Wolf. Nikol EV, an emerging player in the electric vehicle space, secured ₹2 crores in joint funding from Mr. Chandrashekar Kupperi and Mr. Nitesh Aggarwal, Chief Investment Officer at Single Family Office Fund. Happy Karma, a guilt-free snacking brand, attracted a total funding of ₹75 lakhs from a consortium of investors including Mr. Rohan Bajaj, Senior SDET Manager at Jupiter, Mr. Akash Mishra, Co-founder of Venture Vista and Mr. Namay Kedia, Founder of Ballers and Indian Angel Investors Drinks. BioVeda, an innovative biotech startup, garnered an impressive ₹1.75 crores from a group of six investors: Mr. Sayan Ghosh, Angel investor, Mr. Chandrashekar Kupperi, Mr. Namay Kedia, Mr. Gaurav Verma, Venture Investor, Mr. Rohan Bajaj, and Mr. Anand Kataria, Private Investor, AHICO.
This collaborative spirit highlighted the immense potential for startups to gain not only financial backing but also mentorship from a wide range of industry experts. Startups such as Eco saathi by Mr. Ajit Pallai, Berrylush by Mr. Alok Paul, Nikol EV by Mr. Arjun Pawar, Subhag Healthtech by Mr. Chandan Prasad and Mr. Sohan Sahu, Enercomp Solutions by Mr. Jatin Patel, The Hobby tribe by Mr. Joshua Salins, Strokes by Ms. Namrata Mehta, Bioveda by Ms. Mahua Hazra and Mr. Kaushik Dasgupta, Staybind by Mr. Praneeth Reddy, AirGuruji by Mr. Pratap Pawar, Happy Karma by Ms. Rituja Kshirsagar, Yore Care by Mr. Sachit Upadhyay and Wholeleaf by Mr. Shivraj Sharma established valuable connections with investors.
